Pastor’s Corner

Thanksgiving has passed, Black Friday has come and gone, and Christmas is just around the corner. In the midst of all these named days and special occasions, today is called “Small Church Sunday.” It seems like everything needs a label or a moment of recognition.

But what about the in-between days?

What about the quiet moments when life slows down—when it feels like no one is watching, no one is asking, and we may even wonder what we’re meant to do?

Those are the truly special days.

They are the moments when we are given the opportunity to pause, to breathe, and to simply be still. In these in-between days, we can reach out to someone, offer a kind word, or create a moment of care that might mean everything to someone else.

Life gets busy. Our calendars fill up with urgent tasks and responsibilities, often leaving little room for what may seem less important. But it is in these quieter spaces that we are invited to sit with the Lord, to rest in His presence, and to allow Him to guide our path and renew our spirit.

We give from the overflow of our hearts. And when our hearts and bodies are exhausted, there is little left to give. Taking time to be still, to let God be God, fills us again—restoring our strength and preparing us to reach out, to touch lives, and to share love with others.

Let us not overlook these in-between days. They hold the quiet power to restore us and remind us of what truly matters.

Jesus is the center of it all… always remember.

Love and Blessings,
Pastor Deb
